A-Wn-ms-Cod.4810: Title as in ms = 'Missa supra Salve Regina' / Domine deus: [Tenor] and [Bassus]: 'Duo' / Pleni: [Contratenor] and [Bassus]: 'Duo' / Benedictus: [Superius] and [Contratenor]: 'Duo' / Agnus III: [Superius]: 'Canon - Trinitas in unitate''; no further instructions are given. The single notated Superius, which begins with the prominent opening motif of the Salve Regina in long notes, generates two additional canonic voices. The manuscript contains no indication as to how the two canonic voices should be deciphered. It was only by trial and error that the canon was resolved:The second Superius follows in imitation at the unison and at the interval of four breves, and a third Superius sings at the octave below in retrograde, beginning at the same time as the notated Superius.
