D-Mbs-Mus.ms.-6: Title as in ms = 'Missa quinque vo[cum] du bon du cuer' / Parody mass on Jean Mouton's chanson / Fol. 72r blank / Agnus dei - Miserere: Canon in 'Tenor', see [Saunders 2016b]: 'The composer of the Missa Du bon du cueur used coloration and a riddle canon in its single statement of the Agnus Dei to symbolize the Resurrection of Christ and the Lamb of God at Easter. Though the Agnus Dei of this Mass is not unusual among Agnus Dei settings in the Alamire manuscripts in having only a single statement, rather than the usual three, its real interest lies in the tenor canon that prescribes the realization of the cryptic notation. The version of the Agnus Dei transmitted in MunBS 6 is complicated from a performance standpoint, because the tenor voice, which is notated in a mixture of black and white notation, does not fit the rhythms of the other voices.'
